Jonathan Mock – Airfix decal designer and pro modeller.
Jonathan Mock is an expert modeller and has been building plastic scale models for more than thirty years. After finishing art school in the 1980s, he worked in publishing as a graphic designer and contributed articles and artwork to modelling titles like Scale Aircraft Modelling, Scale Models International and Plastic Kit Constructor. Jonathan now works on a freelance basis, researching and designing decal artwork for Airfix along with producing work for other companies such as The Aviation Workshop, a job he describes as ‘the perfect blend of my modelling, historical and artistic interests’.

No time for less than a 1:1 scale onground swimming pool kit. Rapidly realizing that I am not a 20 year old anymore, but trying to hire pool installers for anything in 2021 was impossible. “Hey”, I said – “I build scale models, so how hard could it be to assemble a pool kit?” I learned how to operate a tractor and, together with a friend (who owns the tractor) we roughly dug the hole. The pool is at least operating, but the deck is my next time sucker!
On the plastic front, I did manage to paint and decal the Testors/Hawk 1/72 Convair XF-92 to pair with my Mach 2 1/72 Convair Sea Dart.

Not as much time in the summer as of now, but I did do some more work on the Crusher Joe Fighter, I may get to painting it in a week or so. The post delivered a pair of DEKNO kits last week, which I recorded a review of. The 3D printed 1/48 Spartan 7W is a 1930s executive transport aircraft pressed into USAAC service and the Cessna CR-3 is a 1/72 resin kit, and is very tiny.
Also did make a cut mold for the remora fish blanks, and cast a few for further sculpting.

The Perfect Strike Gundam from the REMASTERED Gundam SEED anime series has joined the Perfect Grade model kit lineup. The kit offers a variety of changes and newly molded parts for the Striker weapon system. That includes a set of newly molded parts for its armors that will be exclusively packed in the regular retail release of the full kit version that will be released in February 2020!
An optional kit was also announced by Premium Bandai to be released in Feb. 2020 to convert your PG Strike Gundam into the Perfect Strike Gundam. Though the newly designed armor parts will not be included in the expansion kit.
