Here at IPMS Hamilton, we are happy to sponsor the Moosaroo II Competition that brings together the modelling world, through your respective podcasts, in a good-natured modelling challenge. This challenge is to pit internationally renowned broadcasters of exceptional modelling skill, talent, charm and charisma against each other in order to determine who is worthy of the Moosaroo Cup. For this year’s challenge, the subjects and the competitors have already been chosen. The organizers, as well as a co-conspirator, Les of Lightspeed Distributing, have acquired the kits that will be needed for the competition. The original well laid out plans to introduce this year’s challenge at HeritageCon 14 was sidetracked by this ongoing major inconvenience to the societal norm. This has forced us to determine an alternate way to announce the latest Moosaroo Challenge. They, people with considerably more techno-savvy than me, told me that this inter-web, e-mail thingy,  is a good way to move information around the world quickly. So let’s give it a try.

The rules this year are simple. Build the kits anyway you wish. You can add any aftermarket modifications or details that you wish. You can modify the kit any way you wish as long as the original kit subject is identifiable. In other words, anything goes. The only restriction is that it must be built by the designated modeller – no subcontracting, or backroom help.

With this continuing COVID confusion, the final deadline is set for the return of HeritageCon in 2021.

These kits will be in the mail shortly.
