Interview with Scott Hards of Hobbylink Japan – Part 1
Scott Hards was born 1964 in Michigan and grew up in Davison, Michigan (same place as Michael Moore). He went to Japan as an exchange student in the summer of 1980 and got hooked. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1986 and began working for a Japanese bank. He moved to Tokyo with the bank in 1991 and left the bank in 1992 and started working for the Thomson Corporation (now Thomson Reuters). He then left Thomson in 1994 and worked freelance until starting HLJ in 1995 which incorporated in 1997…and HLJ’s still here 24 years later!
